About Agib

Agib Bank is the only Islamic Bank in The Gambia and it is legally allowed to own equity in other companies and also trade in commodities and Real Estate. It is 87% Gambian owned. The remaining 13% is owned by Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in Jeddah.

The Bank has invested in state-of-the-art pure Islamic core banking software called iMAL which is considered to be the most successful Islamic banking software and it is being used by over 100 major Islamic banks including Islamic Development Bank. The bank has just launched its ePayments platforms (ATMs, iBanking etc)

Agib Bank operates on the Islamic Economic Principle of Risk/Reward also known as Profit and Loss Sharing.  Its unique brand has enjoyed wide acceptance in every stratum of Gambian society providing attractive platform to avail Islamic financial solutions to their banking needs.
